RULES & REGULATIONS FOR REGIONAL & NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS

Eligibility to Participate
Participants may only be invited by Bentley Motors, Inc., Bentley Retailers, participating golf and country clubs and recognized brand partners for this competition. The club’s participation is based on a prior agreement with Bentley Motors, Inc.

Completion of a registration form is required to participate in all Bentley Continental Cup tournaments.

At registration, participants must provide evidence of a current official handicap index, established by the USGA and RCGA rules, to be eligible to play at the Regional Tournament. (i.e. An official USGA/RCGA card or a print off from the USGA/RCGA or golf association website.) Failure to show evidence or proof of an official handicap index onsite will result in participant playing as a scratch golfer. Estimated handicap indexes will not be used to determine an official competitive score in the tournament.

If a participant does not have an official established handicap index, you are still eligible to participate in the Regional Tournament, as a scratch golfer. However, you will not be eligible to advance to the National Finals.

Participants must be a minimum age of 18 years old.

Participants must be of amateur status to be eligible to advance beyond the Regional Tournament.

Participants may only take part in one 2008–2009 Bentley Continental Cup Regional Tournament. Employees of Bentley Motors, Inc., Bentley Retailers, affiliates and suppliers can participate in the Regional Tournament, but are not eligible to advance beyond the Regional Tournament.

Both male and female players are welcome to participate and advance to the National Final.

Entry Fee
There is no entry fee. Participation is by invitation only.

Conditions of Competition
All tournaments will be played in accordance with the official rules as delineated by the USGA and RCGA, and the local rules of the golf club staging the event.

Scoring
Unless Regional Tournament organizers choose otherwise, the 2008–2009 Bentley Continental Cup format for the Regional Tournament is individual Stableford. Individual Stableford scoring will be used throughout all tournaments.

If a Retailer is sponsoring an event that features a Scramble format, full handicap allowance will be applied. It will be based on each player having an official handicap index established by the USGA and RCGA rules.

In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the best net Stableford score over the last nine holes. Should there still be a tie, the winner will be determined based on which participant had the best net Stableford score over the last five holes. In the event that the first two tie-breakers do not determine the winner, the remaining participants’ names will be put into a hat and the winner’s name will be drawn.

Qualifying for the National Final 2009
Players must have competed in the Regional Tournament, and finished in first, second or third position when participating in the tournament with individual Stableford format, or, the winning four-person team in a Scramble format. In an individual Stableford format competition, those placing first, second or third will qualify for the National Final in 2009. Those qualifying for the National Final from an individual Stableford format can only be replaced by the fourth, fifth or sixth positions, respectively, should they be unable to participate. Those qualifying for the National Final from a Scramble competition cannot be replaced should they be unable to participate.

Employees of Bentley Motors, Inc., Bentley Retailers, affiliates and suppliers can participate in the Regional Tournament but are ineligible to advance to the National Final.

The names of each National Final qualifier from each Regional Tournament will be posted on the tournament website.

National Final qualifiers are solely and personally responsible for all applicable federal, state and local income taxes associated with advancing to the National Final. As part of this tournament, each National Final qualifier will be issued an IRS Form 1099. Each recipient of an IRS Form 1099 remains completely and legally responsible for any tax consequences associated with receiving the National Final qualifier prize package as part of this tournament.

On-Time Requirement
In order to participate in any Bentley Continental Cup tournament, all entrants are required to arrive at the designated venue at the start time indicated on the invitation. Each tournament is a full-day event and any late arrivals will be disqualified from participating.

Award Ceremony
Each Regional Tournament and the National Final will finish after the award ceremony has been completed. Therefore, all participants must remain at the event until it has concluded.

National Final 2009
The National Final will utilize individual Stableford format and scoring. Those who have qualified to participate in the National Final will compete individually. Handicaps should be established following USGA and RCGA rules, and your current official handicap index must be presented to Bentley Motors, Inc. prior to the start the National Final.

Costs and Partners for the National Final 2009
Qualifiers for the National Final are responsible for arranging all travel to and from the National Final. All airfare costs associated with traveling to the National Final are the responsibility of the finalist. All costs associated with bringing a partner to the National Final are the responsibility of the finalist.
